Pilates, developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s, is a method of physical movement with a truly effective combination of exercises to stabilize the spine by strengthening the body’s core postural muscles.  Joseph Pilates also demonstrated that his training method was corrective and health promoting for all systems of the body, extending beyond the muscular system, including the circulatory, endocrine, and lymphatic systems.

At Kallpa Fitness, we work with the Classical Pilates method with the guiding principles of Concentration, Centering, Control, Breathing, Precision, and Flowing Movement.
